What Is a Truffle Döner?

The classic Berlin döner has been a street-food icon since the 1970s: spit-grilled meat, salad, onions, sauce, crisp flatbread. The truffle döner pushes that exact idea further. The thinking is simple and, in the best way, a little irreverent: if truffle is perfectly normal on pasta, risotto, even a burger, why not on a döner?

That was our starting point. Put truffle and asparagus on spit-grilled beef and you still end up with one thing: a döner, just the contemporary version. So the truffle döner isn't a break with tradition; it's an update for the 21st century.

At Kebap with Attitude the truffle döner has a name: Trüffel Delüks. It's one of our signature kebaps, alongside the fruity „Funky Mango“ and the „Smoky Tschick“. And we don't mean a splash of truffle oil as a marketing gimmick, we mean freshly shaved truffle, grated right over the finished döner.

From day one our thinking was: if you reinvented the döner today, it might look like this. Truffle and asparagus are completely at home in fine dining, on a döner they create an “aha” moment. That blend of Berlin snack-bar DNA and culinary curiosity is what the Trüffel Delüks is all about.

How Long Has Kebap with Attitude Been Around?

Kebap with Attitude was founded in 2019 in Berlin, as the city's first „new wave“ döner restaurant, sometimes called the „Institute for Contemporary Kebaps“. The goal: to bring the döner out of the snack bar and back into the restaurant, where döner kebab culturally belongs.
